About

Asara Education and Welfare Foundation (AEWF) was founded in 1977 by Late Md. Islmael, a freedom fighter, statesman and the first Premier of Bihar State. He was moved by the plight and miserable living conditions of the 100 odd tanner families who had settled in the marshes of Siwan. The Trust was registered in 1995 and the Trustees and Executive Council have continued to follow the principles of service and commitment to help the poor and underprivileged and adhere to the high principles of simplicity, integrity and commitment set by the founder. Asara Education and Welfare Foundation started the Yuva Platform (YP) Movement in 2011 under the leadership of Mr. Abid Hussain and Mrs. Shabana Khatoon to cater to the unmotivated school dropouts and make them economically independent through vocational training.
